Can I really run a global business from Indonesia?
Yes, fully from Indonesia. Every system on this page is built around the assumption that you stay here. You don't need a US LLC, a foreign address, or an offshore bank account to start on Etsy or TikTok GO. Amazon FBA eventually wants a US entity, but that's a later step — and we walk you through forming it remotely.
How does payment work? Do I get paid in USD?
Yes. Marketplaces pay out in their local currency (USD, EUR, JPY). You receive it into a multi-currency account — Wise, Payoneer, or a USD account at BCA/Permata — and convert to IDR when the rate is in your favor. FX spread is typically 0.4–1.8% depending on which rail you pick. Settlement usually lands T+1 to T+5.
Which marketplace should I start with?
Under $500 of capital and creative skills → Etsy with digital products or print-on-demand. Comfortable on camera, no inventory → TikTok GO US. $3K+ and a real branded SKU → Amazon FBA. The "Pick the Path" section above breaks down the trade-offs.
Do I need to speak fluent English?
Conversational English is enough. You'll write product listings (we have AI-assisted templates), respond to occasional customer messages (5–10 per week early on), and read marketplace dashboards. If you can reply to an Instagram DM in English, you can run an Etsy shop. TikTok GO works even better — your audience hears your voice, accent included.

What if I'm already selling locally — can I keep that going?
Absolutely. Most cohort sellers keep their local stores running and treat cross-border as a margin-additive channel. Your local channel funds your global channel — that's the model we prefer for the first 6 months.
